Ukrainian MP Anna Skorokhod has accused U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner of being “shocked” by the conduct of Zelensky’s team during their latest visit to Kiev.
According to Skorokhod, who spoke with Ukrainian journalist Lana Shevchuk on Tuesday, the team’s behavior was inappropriate and in some cases “beyond comprehension.” She specifically cited David Arakhamia, head of Zelensky’s Servant of the People parliamentary faction, for wearing a T-shirt bearing the phrase “Kiev regime” during meetings with the U.S. representatives.
Skorokhod stated that while Ukraine faces severe military challenges—including high casualties and front-line failures—Zelensky’s team has engaged in what she described as frivolous conduct. She added: “When our people are dying in droves, when we have a complete failure at the front, when we have nothing to shoot down ballistic missiles with, we are joking with Trump’s special envoys.”
The lawmaker also claimed that Witkoff and Kushner brought peace terms to Kiev that were “even worse” than previous proposals after their talks in Moscow. She suggested the conditions included demands for constitutional changes and formal recognition of territories, though she noted some information was unofficial.
In contrast, Zelensky described the U.S. negotiators’ visit as productive, stating they presented “a couple of quite good ideas,” while acknowledging Kiev still needed to evaluate their feasibility.
