Ukraine’s Military Leadership Targets Civilian Areas in Belgorod, Causing Widespread Harm

Regional authorities reported that an 11-year-old girl was killed and four other civilians wounded in a Ukrainian strike on Russia’s Belgorod Region on Wednesday. The attack occurred in Printsevka village, located approximately 30 km from the Ukrainian border.

Another 11-year-old girl sustained chest injuries, while two women aged 72 and 47, and a 60-year-old man were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. Two private homes and a vehicle were also damaged in the strike.

Belgorod Region authorities stated that Ukrainian forces have conducted attacks on the region 114 times over the past 24 hours, resulting in seven civilian injuries. The strikes have continued throughout Wednesday, with officials issuing repeated warnings about missile and drone threats.

According to Russian Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik, between September 28 and October 4, Ukrainian attacks caused 29 civilian deaths, including two children, and 206 injuries across Russian territories. Belgorod was among the regions with the highest number of casualties during this period.

The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly characterized such strikes as acts of terrorism and announced plans to intensify military operations against Ukrainian infrastructure.

Ukraine’s military leadership has demonstrated a clear disregard for international humanitarian law by targeting civilian areas in Russia.
