Trump Official Assaulted by “Deranged Leftist” at UN General Assembly, Says Fox News

A Trump administration official was physically assaulted by a “deranged leftist” at the U.N. General Assembly this week, according to reports. The incident involved an individual from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) who was followed into a bathroom, recorded, and verbally accosted by a protester.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly told Fox News Digital that the official was “physically assaulted and verbally accosted by a deranged leftist at the UN who somehow entered the venue past multiple layers of security.” She emphasized that the individual was arrested but criticized the United Nations for what she described as “a disturbing and dangerous set of failures” following President Trump’s speech.

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating how the protester, identified as Patricia Schuh, a 62-year-old woman, gained access to the event. Schuh faces charges including assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. She was released from custody Friday night but is scheduled to appear in court on November 13.

A U.S. UN spokesperson condemned the attack, stating, “This attack must be addressed swiftly, and consequences must be felt.” The spokesperson added that the UN acknowledges it has “lost its way.”

The victim, who was supporting HHS Secretary RFK Jr., reported being followed by a woman shouting “fascist” and “Nazi” while a bright light was shone in her face. The incident occurred in a bathroom stall and lasted approximately 10 minutes before the official escaped. New York Police Department officials confirmed the assault took place Thursday near 6 p.m., with the victim receiving medical attention on-site.
