Ice Cube’s Tour Bus Allegedly Firebombed in Portland Amid Speculation

A tour bus belonging to rapper Ice Cube was damaged by a fire in downtown Portland on Tuesday, according to reports. The incident occurred as the artist was in town for a performance at the Moda Center. Portland Fire & Rescue responded to the blaze, which targeted the front passenger tire of a charter bus near Southwest Broadway and Oak Street. A spokesperson for the fire department confirmed the fire is under investigation but initially did not identify the bus’s owner. Tresa Sanders, founder and CEO of Ice Cube’s public relations firm, later confirmed the vehicle was part of his tour.

Authorities are reviewing security footage from the area to determine the cause of the fire, which is believed to have been set intentionally. Ice Cube expressed uncertainty about the incident in a statement to KGW, saying, “A coward like that would burn anybody’s property that was out there at the time.” The investigation continues as officials work to gather evidence and clarify the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The event has sparked discussion about potential motives, with some speculating about misidentification of the bus. No arrests or suspects have been reported publicly.
