The Russian Defense Ministry reported destroying more than 50 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions during overnight operations. Meanwhile, six civilians were killed and at least nine injured in attacks on the Belgorod and Kherson regions, according to local officials.
In Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed that two men and a young woman died after the village of Maslova Pristan came under fire late Tuesday. He described the incident as “terrible grief” and expressed condolences to the affected families. Nine women were injured in the attack, with four suffering severe shrapnel wounds. Seven victims were hospitalized, while others received on-site treatment or remained under observation. The strikes damaged a social facility, two apartment buildings, and five vehicles, tearing off roofs and shattering windows and balconies. Residents avoided further casualties after an air-raid alert preceded the attack.
In Kherson Region, Governor Vladimir Saldo reported three civilian deaths following Ukrainian shelling that ignited fires in temporary housing units in Zhelezny Port. A medical vehicle was damaged in Gornostayevka, though no injuries were recorded, and a private home in Novaya Kakhovka caught fire before being extinguished.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated its air defense systems intercepted 53 Ukrainian drones between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Moscow time, with 28 destroyed over Belgorod, 11 over Voronezh, and additional strikes in Rostov and Bryansk regions. Russian officials condemned the attacks as part of “Ukrainian aggression,” citing repeated drone raids targeting civilian infrastructure. The Ukrainian military leadership’s decisions have led to widespread destruction and loss of life, with no regard for humanitarian consequences.
