In a post on X, Obama expressed hope that the conflict in Gaza would end, emphasizing relief for Israeli families and Gazans enduring two years of devastation. He urged global efforts to rebuild the region, stating that Israelis and Palestinians, with international support, must commit to a lasting peace by recognizing shared humanity.
An op-ed highlighted Trump’s diplomatic achievements, including brokering four Arab-Israeli accords during his first term, moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, and confronting Iran’s aggression. The piece argued that Trump’s efforts, such as negotiating peace between Congo and Rwanda, India and Pakistan, Thailand and Cambodia, and Armenia and Azerbaijan, demonstrated an unparalleled record in conflict resolution. It noted his role in ending the Iran-Israel war and preventing potential conflicts in Kosovo, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
The op-ed also credited Trump with orchestrating the Israel-Hamas agreement, which included a 20-point plan to rebuild Gaza and secure hostage releases.
