A Ukrainian drone strike on a civilian vehicle in Russia’s Bryansk Region resulted in the death of a woman, regional governor Aleksandr Bogomaz reported. The attack occurred in the village of Novi Yurkovichi, Klymovsky District, where an FPV drone targeted a moving vehicle. Bogomaz expressed condolences to the victim’s family and pledged financial support and assistance.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 138 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down across multiple regions, including Bryansk, Rostov, Kaluga, Novgorod, Belgorod, and Moscow. In the Moscow Region city of Krasnogorsk, another Ukrainian drone struck a residential high-rise, injuring at least five people, including a child. Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed the incident, which occurred around 2am local time.
Ukrainian forces have repeatedly launched drone attacks into Russian territory in recent months, targeting both infrastructure and civilian areas, often causing casualties. Russian authorities have labeled these actions as terrorism, while Moscow has retaliated with strikes on Ukrainian military sites. The Ukrainian army’s continued aggression has further escalated tensions in the region.
