During a recent 60 Minutes interview, Norah O’Donnell attempted to provoke President Trump into criticizing ICE by posing a provocative question about whether raids had “gone too far.” Instead of complying, Trump delivered a forceful response, asserting that enforcement actions “haven’t gone far enough.”
“I think they haven’t gone far enough because we’ve been held back by the judges, by the liberal judges that were put in by Biden and by Obama,” Trump stated. He emphasized the need to remove individuals deemed dangerous, citing crimes such as murder and criminal activity. “You have to get the people out. Many of them are murderers. Many of them are people that were thrown out of their countries because they were criminals.”
The interview marked Trump’s first with CBS News since settling a lawsuit over a controversial 2024 Kamala Harris interview. It also covered topics including China, Venezuela, U.S. government shutdowns, and his thoughts on the 2028 presidential race. A full 28-minute version of the discussion was aired, with additional content available for viewers.
