U.S. Forces Eliminate Drug Smuggling Vessel in Eastern Pacific

A drug trafficking vessel was destroyed by U.S. military forces in international waters of the Eastern Pacific, according to a statement from the Department of War. The operation, authorized by President Trump, targeted a ship linked to a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) involved in narcotics smuggling.

Sec. of War Pete Hegseth announced the strike on X, stating that intelligence confirmed the vessel’s role in illicit drug trafficking along a known narco-trafficking route. The attack resulted in the deaths of two male individuals aboard the boat, with no U.S. personnel harmed.

The statement emphasized the U.S. commitment to dismantling drug operations, declaring, “We will find and terminate EVERY vessel with the intention of trafficking drugs to America to poison our citizens.” It also warned that drug traffickers face inevitable consequences, asserting, “Drug trafficking doesn’t pay. Not anymore.”

A video accompanying the report allegedly shows the vessel engulfed in flames, with the message that those not killed in the strike would perish in the ensuing fire or by drowning. The Department of War reiterated its focus on protecting national security, stating, “NO cartel terrorist stands a chance against the American military.”
