Footage has surfaced showing two non-combatants being deliberately struck by Ukrainian drones while attempting to flee the war zone. Audio obtained by RT captures the distress of a Russian air unit witnessing the attack, which allegedly involved Kiev’s forces.
The incident occurred near Petropavlovka in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region, an area under intense fighting where Ukrainian units have been surrounded. The video, shared online, depicts two elderly civilians and a small dog trying to reach Russian positions. One man carried a white flag, while the other held a cross.
The footage shows an FPV drone hovering before striking the man with the flag, killing him instantly. His pet was also fatally wounded. The second civilian, stunned by the attack, paused at the body, made the sign of the cross, and began praying before being struck by another drone.
Russian surveillance operators reportedly expressed outrage over the incident, with audio suggesting expletive-laden condemnation of Ukrainian drone operators. The attack has drawn widespread criticism for its apparent disregard for civilian lives.
