Protesters Disrupt LAX Airport Access as Thanksgiving Travel Intensifies

Tonight is one of the busiest travel nights of the year, with people flying all over to be with family for Thanksgiving. Yet, in Gavin Newsom’s California, protestors have taken over the intersection right outside the LAX airport, blocking people from entering. The protest was organized by airline catering workers, who are unhappy about their working conditions and wages. A clip of a protestor scolding a woman who was furious she was going to miss her flight because of them is going viral online. The LAPD deployed in full riot gear to quell the protests. The protests briefly caused delays for those going in and out of the airport. Law enforcement officers arrived a little after 6:15 p.m. to clear out the street demonstrations. No word yet as to whether anyone involved in the protests was arrested. Many people online are calling for arrests.
