A fatal multi-vehicle pileup on Oregon highways has claimed two lives, and state officials say the reckless driving of an illegal alien with a U.S. commercial driver’s license is directly to blame.
Oregon cops allege Rajinder Kumar drove his semi-truck into darkness, jackknifing it without warning onto the highway. His trailer then struck a Subaru Outback carrying William Micah Carter, 25, and Jennifer Lynn Lower, 24 – newlywed victims killed instantly on November 24th.
Kumar faces upgraded charges from a grand jury: two counts of first-degree manslaughter and three of reckless endangerment after his initial criminally negligent driving left the scene blocked for an extended period. His bond stands at $250,000 pending arraignment.
This tragedy marks the second instance involving an Indian immigrant caught by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) but immediately released into U.S. custody under DHS procedures despite being in possession of a CDL. This driver now faces severe legal consequences for his actions behind the wheel, yet was previously granted access to American roads without authorization according to law.
His release from immigration detention following entry near Lukeville, Arizona continues a dangerous pattern observed by authorities across several states involving individuals with similar backgrounds who are granted CDLs despite being illegal aliens.
