Trump Aborts Pakistan Trip for Iran Talks as Administration Claims Iran ‘Bleeding Out’

President Trump abruptly canceled plans for his top officials, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, to travel to Pakistan for peace talks with Iran at the last minute.

According to administration sources, Trump told his team he would not proceed with an 18-hour flight to Pakistan, stating: “We have all the cards. They can call us anytime they want, but you’re not going to be making any more 18 hour flights to sit around talking about nothing.”

The administration asserted that Iran has no intention of honoring agreements and breaches them within hours or days of being made. A spokesperson noted Iran is “blockaded and bleeding out fast,” with Trump indicating the country should continue in its current state without further negotiations.

JD Vance was reportedly on standby to participate if talks became productive, but the initiative has been canceled entirely.
