More details have emerged about President Trump’s plan to host a UFC event at the White House in 2026, with the date shifted from July 4th to June of that year. Weigh-ins are set to take place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, while fight night will occur on the South Lawn. Fighters will warm up inside the White House, and giant screens will be installed outside. Fireworks and light shows are also planned for the occasion.
The event was initially scheduled for July 4th but faced logistical challenges that prompted the rescheduling. Dana White, UFC Chief Executive, confirmed the event’s viability in a recent social media post, stating, “The White House fight is on.” During a visit to the White House, White presented a brochure outlining his vision for the patriotic MMA event, which received approval from Trump.
Jon Jones and Conor McGregor are reportedly set to headline the card, with Jones confirming his participation after Trump’s announcement. McGregor has also expressed interest in competing. The event aims to commemorate the United States’ 250th birthday, featuring what White described as “the baddest card of all time.”
