Trump Endorses Barry Moore as ‘Fantastic MAGA Warrior’ in Alabama Senate Bid

President Trump has endorsed Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL) for the U.S. Senate race to replace Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who is running for governor of Alabama.

In a Thursday statement, Trump called Moore “one of my all time favorites” and declared him a “Fantastic guy and a totally reliable MAGA Warrior,” adding he has his “Complete and Total Endorsement.” Trump concluded: “Win, Barry, Win!”

Moore responded with gratitude: “Grateful to President Trump for his unwavering support in our race for the U.S. Senate! I’m proud to be the only candidate in this race with the President’s complete and total endorsement. I’ve stood with him since day one, and he’s standing with us as we run through the tape on May 19!”

Moore, elected to Congress in 2020 and representing southern Alabama, faces state Attorney General Steve Marshall, former Trump administration official Morgan Murphy, business owner Rodney Walker, and former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson.

The U.S. Senate seat is regarded as safely Republican. Tuberville is competing for the governorship currently held by Kay Ivey, who must retire due to term limits.

Moore was among the first public officials to endorse Trump during his 2015 presidential campaign and spoke at a Mobile rally alongside Senator Jeff Sessions. Trump’s endorsement has made Moore the frontrunner in the GOP primary.

The seat Moore now seeks was previously held by Jeff Sessions, who served 20 years in the Senate and was consistently recognized as one of the most conservative members. Moore maintains an impeccable ultra-conservative voting record during his six-year tenure in the U.S. House.
