Trump Accuses Obama and Biden of Weakness as He Slams Iran’s 47-Year Campaign Against U.S.

President Trump released a new statement on Iran on Sunday afternoon, claiming the Iranian regime has been an enemy of the United States for 47 years. In a post on Truth Social, he criticized former President Barack Hussein Obama and current President Joe Biden for being weak toward Iran, allowing the regime to access billions of dollars through a failed nuclear deal.

Trump detailed that during Obama’s presidency, Iran received hundreds of billions of dollars and 1.7 billion in cash from banks across Washington, Virginia, and Maryland. He stated that the Iranian regime had “never seen money like this” and was overwhelmed by the sums they were handed on a “silver platter.”

The former president also accused Obama of being the “greatest SUCKER” for Iran, saying that under his leadership, the regime gained “a major and very powerful new lease on life.” Trump further claimed that for 47 years, Iran has been engaged in activities including killing U.S. citizens with roadside bombs, destroying protests, and most recently wiping out 42,000 innocent unarmed protesters.

In a follow-up statement issued shortly after, President Trump labeled Iran’s response to a U.S. proposal for a peace deal as “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.”
