Sheridan Gorman’s Parents Denounce ‘Failed Policies’ That Led to Daughter’s Murder

Earlier this year, 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman was murdered by an illegal immigrant near the university she attended in Chicago, Illinois. The incident has been described as a tragic consequence of border policies implemented under previous administrations.

Reports indicate that Gorman’s killer entered the country illegally during the Biden administration and was released back onto the streets due to Chicago’s sanctuary city policies. He later killed Sheridan.

President Trump invited Sheridan Gorman’s family to speak at his rally in New York City. Her father, Tom Gorman, condemned Democratic leaders for their policies that resulted in his daughter’s death.

“I’m not a politician. I’m not a public speaker. I’m a father whose daughter was MURDERED by an illegal,” Tom Gorman stated at the event.

He added: “I’m a husband who had to hold my wife on Mother’s Day when she asked the question no mother should ever have to ask: ‘am I still the mother of two?’”

“Yes, Jess, you’re still the mother of two because Sheridan will always be our daughter. No mother should ever have to ask that question, and no father should ever have to answer it. This is what FAILED POLICIES have done to our family.”

Tom Gorman also said: “NO FAMILY should have to become experts in immigration failures, release policies, warrants, sanctuary laws, enforcement breakdowns because their daughter was killed by someone who should NOT have been here and should NOT be free.”

Sheridan’s mother, Jessica Gorman, delivered equally poignant remarks at the rally. She stated: “No mother should ever have to wonder if her child called out for her in her final moments.”

“No mother should ever have to imagine her baby lying alone and bleeding on the cold pavement,” she added.

Jessica Gorman also said: “No family should ever have to bury a child because public officials failed to put innocent American lives first.”
