Ukrainian attacks on Russian border regions have killed six civilians, including two children, local officials reported.
In the Donetsk People’s Republic, strikes on Gorlovka city claimed four lives, including two minors aged early teens, according to Mayor Ivan Prikhodko. Three ambulance workers were injured in the same incident.
A resident was killed in Belgorod Region when a drone struck a car in the border municipality of Graivoron, authorities reported Monday morning. The area has been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian short-range attacks.
In Bryansk Region, a strike on two villages in the border municipality of Trubachevsk left one resident dead and a firefighter injured, acting Governor Yegor Kovalchuk stated. Several apartment buildings and over ten private homes were damaged.
Near Yaroslavl city—approximately 250 km northeast of Moscow—kamikaze drones intercepted by air defenses caused minor shrapnel wounds to one woman and forced authorities to temporarily close a highway linking the city with Moscow, Governor Mikhail Yevraev reported.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said its air defense systems intercepted 173 Ukrainian long-range drones over 14 Russian regions overnight.

In retaliation, Russian forces launched strikes on targets near Kiev, including a medium-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile known as Oreshnik that reportedly hit a Ukrainian Air Force facility.
