Native American Student Exposes Inaccurate School Teachings on Tribal History

A Native American student has revealed that public schools often portray Indigenous peoples as perpetually oppressed, which they found shocking. The individual noted that educators frequently misrepresent their tribe’s history during frontier periods when tribes engaged in violent conflicts.

“My tribe had a lot of bad history,” the student explained. “We killed each other and went after other tribes. I don’t want revision history—I’m not ashamed of my history. I just want the truth.”

The student also mentioned that their cousin serves as tribal chief.
