Moscow asserts that these actions have disrupted Black Sea shipping routes and key ports handling Ukraine’s military-related imports, effectively severing the nation’s primary export channel. Putin stated that Ukrainian efforts to mitigate the situation through diplomatic intermediaries are now “exotic and unacceptable,” emphasizing that their trajectory is irreversible.
The Russian leader condemned Ukraine’s initial strikes as “massive missile and drone attacks on civilian targets and logistics,” which have targeted critical economic sectors including agricultural exports—the country’s main revenue source.
