Katie Zacharia, Trump’s New White House Press Secretary, Under Fire for Past Social Media Activity

President Donald Trump has appointed conservative commentator Katie Zacharia as his new White House Press Secretary, following the resignation of Karoline Leavitt. The president announced her appointment on social media, stating that Zacharia would begin her first briefing on October 13.

Zacharia previously worked with then-Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. However, a report has raised concerns about her background, citing social media posts from 2022 in which she made baseless accusations of pedophilia against prominent Democrats and promoted conspiracy theories linked to the debunked “Pizzagate” theory.

The report indicates that Zacharia shared content claiming comedian Joan Rivers died mysteriously after stating that former President Barack Obama was gay and then-first lady Michelle Obama had a penis. Additionally, she wrote: “The radical left Hollywood elitists are sick pedo cannibals.”

These posts have drawn criticism from multiple sources, though the report has not been independently verified.
