Ron DeSantis recently presented President Trump with a custom “assassination coin” during a campaign event in Florida, describing it as the “coolest thing ever.” The incident occurred as DeSantis displayed the coin to press while President Trump avoided direct acknowledgment of the item.
Trump stepped back slightly and repeatedly addressed DeSantis with the phrase “GOOD GUY!” during the event.
With less than two weeks remaining before midterm elections, President Trump will return to Florida to campaign alongside Republican gubernatorial candidate Congressman Byron Donalds. Their relationship has been under scrutiny after Donalds’ team temporarily removed several references to Trump from his website.
According to Donalds, the updates were planned for two months and did not intend to create distance from the president: “President Trump is still on the website.”
National Republicans have identified Florida as a key state in their efforts to maintain its red status. A national Republican leader named Vance described the upcoming decision as: “This is the choice the good people of Florida face the next month. It’s whether or not we continue to fight fraud and put Americans first, or whether we return to the failed policies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.”
