A lawsuit has been filed against Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) by Patrick Bryant, her ex-fiancé, who alleges she falsely accused him of being a sexual predator. Bryant claims Mace conspired with another individual to fabricate assault allegations involving an unnamed woman, according to court records.
The legal action stems from a May lawsuit where a woman, referred to as “Jane Doe,” alleged she was assaulted at the home of Eric Bowman by another man, with Bowman and Bryant allegedly filming the incident. Mace referenced this case in a February House speech, where she accused Bryant of being a “sexual predator.”
In the new suit, Bryant claims he is the sole victim and alleges Mace collaborated with Bowman’s estranged wife to create false evidence against him. He further asserts that Mace fabricated the assault narrative to blackmail him during their relationship, including claims she attempted to hack his phone and used threats of property ownership as leverage.
Bryant contends that Doe’s May lawsuit was based on Mace’s false accusations and that no assault occurred in October 2018 when Doe fell into a pool at a party. He also disputes testimony from Bowman’s wife, who claimed to have witnessed the alleged incident via security footage but did not confront Doe that night.
Mace has responded by labeling Bryant’s lawsuit as “frivolous” and claiming he is lying again. She stated she would release evidence to counter his claims and criticized his behavior as “disgusting,” accusing him of “abusing women for years.” Mace also mentioned ongoing disputes over property and service issues with Bryant, calling for accountability against those who “lie, cheat, and steal.”
The case centers on conflicting allegations between Mace and Bryant, with neither party providing conclusive proof.
