President Trump served as auctioneer at his Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve bash on January 1, 2026, after artist Vanessa Horabuena painted a portrait of Jesus Christ in front of attendees.
Horabuena, who describes herself as a Christian worship artist with 806,000 Instagram followers, completed the painting on a black canvas within approximately ten minutes. Trump then joined her to auction the artwork.
The piece sold for $2.75 million, with half of the proceeds going to St. Jude’s Research Hospital and the other half to the local sheriff’s office.
