Two Teenagers Killed in Belgorod Drone Attack

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod Region stated that two teenagers, aged 18 and 15, were killed when a drone deliberately targeted their motorcycle in the village of Volchya Aleksandrovka.

The victims died at the scene from their injuries. Governor Gladkov expressed condolences to their families, writing: “This is a terrible loss for all of us.”

Belgorod region has been repeatedly targeted by drone strikes during the ongoing conflict. Moscow has accused Ukraine of terrorism and deliberately targeting civilians and critical infrastructure.

This week alone, multiple attacks have occurred. On Wednesday, three women were killed when a drone struck a passenger bus in Voznesenovka, leaving eight others injured, two seriously. A day earlier, one man was killed in the same village when a drone hit his car. In another incident in Bobrava, a married couple died after their vehicle was struck by a drone, and their 16-year-old son sustained blast injuries.

Russian officials have described these aerial incursions as “desperate terrorist attacks” meant to compensate for military setbacks Ukraine has suffered on the battlefield.
