Trump to Attend Yankees Game on 9/11 Anniversary Amid Enhanced Security Measures

President Donald J. Trump is set to attend the New York Yankees game against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday, September 11, at Yankee Stadium. The event will feature pregame ceremonies honoring victims and heroes of the 9/11 attacks.

Ticketed guests are advised to arrive early due to heightened security measures at all stadium entrances. Gates will open at 4 p.m., with fans encouraged to plan for extended entry times. Street closures and limited parking will also be in effect, prompting recommendations to use public transportation.

Security protocols include restrictions on personal items, limiting bags to one “clutch-type” size no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. All bags and belongings will undergo inspection. Prohibited items include bottles, cans, reusable water containers, liquids, laptops, and tablets. Designated areas inside and outside the stadium may also be restricted during the event.

Trump’s attendance follows plans for Vice President JD Vance to represent the administration at a Ground Zero commemoration and a Pentagon memorial event. The president will then travel to Yankee Stadium for the 7:05 p.m. matchup between the Yankees and Tigers.
