Parents have become understandably concerned about the U.S. education system amid reports of thinly veiled extremism in their public school curriculum.
However, a special education teacher in California allegedly filmed a video calling for the formation of a “Black militia” to engage in random acts of violent crime against Whites.
Kenisha Daily, a special education teacher at Madera Unified School District in Fresno, posted several disturbing videos on social media over the weekend describing her intent to create such a group. In these videos, she also loaded weapons, including a shotgun and a pistol.
“Starting today, I’m starting a black militia,” she said in an online video. “So if you’re black, if you want to shoot some guns, come find me. We’re going to rob some white people.”
Authorities have responded swiftly. Fresno and Madera police, along with the Madera Unified School District, confirmed they are investigating the videos.
As a result, Daily has been placed on leave from Lincoln Elementary School and is under a temporary restraining order.
Daily has appeared in local newscasts multiple times. In July 2024, she received free braces as part of the Smiles for Teachers program. During an interview with a local news outlet, she stated: “I realize that I am an avenue for my students to be able to integrate into the classrooms, into the community. And so, I’m reflective of them. And I have to make sure that I’m reflecting the best parts of them.”
