The video captures Fine ringing the doorbell, waiting on the porch, lifting the mailbox lid, and sifting through envelopes before departing without removing, tampering with, or inserting any items.
While no criminal activity appears to have occurred in the footage, rifling through a stranger’s mailbox has drawn significant criticism as an inappropriate tactic for voter engagement. Fine, who is seeking re-election in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, later stated: “The stakes have never been higher… I’d certainly appreciate it if everyone would make the effort to get out and vote today.”
Meanwhile, Republican challenger Dan Bilzerian has faced bipartisan condemnation for antisemitic campaign rhetoric targeting Fine. Bilzerian’s posts—including explicit references to Adolf Hitler and antisemitic tropes—have been denounced by both major party leaders as offensive and harmful. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries condemned Bilzerian’s actions, calling them “disgusting” and “blatantly antisemitic,” while Rep. Don Bacon and Sen.
