New Jersey continues to serve as the epicenter of anti-law enforcement demonstrations, with political tensions and unrest erupting around the Delaney Hall immigration facility in Newark. As ordinary citizens navigate daily routines, one garbage truck driver recently voiced widespread frustration among Americans weary of perceived chaos campaigns by left-leaning activists.
In a viral video shared on Freedom News, the Elizabeth-based Regional Industries driver confronted protesters who had blocked his path near the ICE facility Wednesday night. “If I hit one of y’all, I go to jail,” he shouted before pleading with demonstrators to let him pass. “Come on, man,” he urged before reentering his truck and driving away.
Many protesters wore masks and goggles to shield themselves from pepper spray deployed by ICE agents during the demonstrations. The driver’s attempt to resume his route succeeded, though social media users quickly criticized the unrest as counterproductive—arguing such disruptions only alienate potential supporters of progressive causes.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security reported in a May 25 statement that detainees at Delaney Hall receive “comprehensive medical care,” three meals daily, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, and access to phones for family communication. DHS also noted certified dieticians oversee meal standards, emphasizing conditions exceed those in most U.S. correctional facilities housing citizens.
A recent social media post read: “Schools out these crazy, soy eating, lunatic lefties are getting paid. Mr. Trash truck driver, proceed with taking out the TRASH.”
