The move drew immediate criticism for its association with a viral trend where children chant “6/7” in a specific rhythm. This trend, which originated from Skrilla’s song and the NBA player height (6’7”), quickly faded as it was widely labeled cringe.
Harris’ team reportedly believed that changing the account name would improve their campaign appeal for potential future elections.
