Luigi Mangione Allegedly Assaulted by Seven “Ladyboys” in Thailand Before United Healthcare CEO Shooting

A new report has emerged detailing an alleged incident involving Luigi Mangione, the 27-year-old accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City last December. According to the findings, Mangione was reportedly beaten by a group of seven individuals referred to as “ladyboys” during a trip to Thailand months prior to the murder.

The report claims that Mangione shared messages with friends on WhatsApp about his experiences during a solo backpacking journey through Asia in early 2024. In one text, he allegedly described being attacked by seven transgender women in Bangkok, accompanied by a photo of his injured arm. The incident reportedly occurred during a night out in the city, though details about the altercation remain unclear.

Mangione’s trip included stops in Thailand and Japan, where he interacted with locals and fellow travelers. A soccer player named Christian Sacchini, who met Mangione in Bangkok in March 2024, recounted conversations about healthcare systems and video games. Sacchini noted that Mangione expressed surprise at the affordability of medical services in Thailand compared to the U.S.

The accused killer later traveled to Japan, where he stayed at a guesthouse for six days, reportedly avoiding digital devices and seeking solitude. His journey appeared to shift from social interaction to isolation as he became fixated on criticizing the American healthcare system.

In November 2024, Mangione was charged with first-degree murder for allegedly executing Thompson outside an investor conference in New York City. However, a New York judge recently dismissed terrorism-related charges against him, ruling that his actions did not meet the legal threshold for terrorism under state law. He now faces a second-degree murder charge, carrying a sentence of 25 years to life.

Mangione’s next court appearance is scheduled for December 1, with supporters continuing to express solidarity. Demonstrators have worn clothing referencing the video game character Luigi, while some displayed signs reading “FREE LUIGI” at recent hearings. Surveillance footage from the shooting shows a masked individual firing at Thompson from behind as he arrived at the New York Hilton Midtown.

The case remains under scrutiny, with ongoing legal proceedings and public debate surrounding Mangione’s motives and actions.
