Paranormal Investigator Dan Rivera Dies During Annabelle Doll Tour: Cause of Death Revealed

The cause of death for paranormal investigator Dan Rivera, who was on tour with the infamous Annabelle doll, has been disclosed. According to the Adams County coroner, Rivera died from “cardiac arrest.” At the time of his passing, Rivera was touring with the Annabelle doll, which gained notoriety through the Conjure Franchise movies.

Rivera, 54, was found dead in July in his hotel room the day after an event in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, featuring the doll. The incident occurred during the “Devils on the Run” tour, which showcased Annabelle for those “brave enough” to confront her. The coroner confirmed there were no unusual or suspicious elements in Rivera’s death, noting he had a history of heart issues and that the doll was not present in the room where he died.

The Annabelle doll, an antique Raggedy Ann figure, is alleged to be haunted. According to historical accounts, the doll entered the home of Donna and Angie in 1970, triggering unexplained phenomena such as movement and cryptic messages. A medium later revealed the presence of a spirit named Annabelle Higgins, a 7-year-old girl who died on the property before the apartments were built.

While the 2014 film Annabelle dramatizes the doll’s story, officials clarified that the movie is fictional. The real-life events involved paranormal investigators who reportedly encountered supernatural disturbances after taking the doll into their home. No further details about Rivera’s condition or the tour’s specifics were provided in the coroner’s statement.
