Seattle Seahawks Offensive Coordinator Klint Kubiak Gifts Every Player a Bible, Plans Raiders Head Coach Role

In a recent interview, Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak described how his Christian faith has shaped his life and coaching philosophy.

Kubiak, 38, shared that questions about his faith in Christ are among his “favorite” topics to discuss. “I’ve learned from many chaplains that your identity is not in your job,” he said. “Our identity is in Christ.”

The coach emphasized the importance of spiritual growth: “When I learned that, and I spent more time in the Word from all the mentors I had in coaching, it helped me get into Bible studies and read the Word every day.”

Kubiak also noted that his personal responsibilities come before football: “Football is something that I do, but trying to be a good father and be a faithful husband is way more important than any of that.”

Additionally, Kubiak revealed he recently gave every player and coach on the team a Bible as a Christmas gift. “You’re trying to find Christmas gifts for guys every year to show them that you love them,” he explained. “And what better gift than that?”

The Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX this Sunday. After the game, Kubiak is expected to become the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kubiak, son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak, spent one season with the Seahawks where he helped lead the team to the most regular-season wins in franchise history.

Sources indicate that Kubiak will work out a deal with the Raiders after Super Bowl weekend. Once finalized, he would become the franchise’s fifth full-term head coach since 2021.

The Las Vegas Raiders’ general manager, John Spytek, has been closely collaborating with minority owner and former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the coaching search. Kubiak was one of 15 candidates who interviewed for the role.

Following Kubiak’s departure, the Arizona Cardinals announced that they have hired Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur as their new head coach.

In related news, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye shared his favorite Bible verse during Super Bowl Media Night.
