This action occurs during the second year of President Trump’s presidency, despite over 100 nominations still pending confirmation. According to the Senate website, this batch includes 74 well-qualified nominations by President Trump. This advancement brings the total number of civilian nominees confirmed en bloc since Senate Republicans’ rules reform to 375—representing approximately 63% of all confirmations during the president’s second term.
It is important to note that while these nominees were advanced, they still require final confirmation votes. Such proceedings are expected to occur later this week. Additionally, President Trump’s Attorney General nominee, Todd Blanche, faces potential obstacles as two RINOs have raised concerns about his nomination.
