Trump Accounts App Now Live: $1,000 Pilot for U.S. Kids Begins July 4

On May 28, 2026, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced that the official Trump Accounts application is now available on major mobile app stores nationwide.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated the program “delivers a simple, secure way for households to begin engaging with a program designed to build long-term financial strength from day one.” Families who have submitted IRS Form 4547 will receive activation emails in phases between May 28 and July 4, 2026. On July 4, eligible children born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 will receive their first $1,000 contribution directly into the account.

The Trump Accounts program is designed for U.S. citizens under age 18. Parents serve as the sole custodians until the child turns 18. The accounts can accept contributions of up to $5,000 per year to accelerate growth. The Treasury emphasized that legitimate communications about account activation will only be sent via email from no-reply@TrumpAccounts.Treasury.gov and that families should not respond to unsolicited calls or texts.
