President Trump on Tuesday endorsed Marty O’Donnell for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District race, a fiercely competitive district in the battleground state. The endorsement comes amid Republican efforts to maintain their razor-thin majority in the U.S. House.
In his social media statement, Trump characterized Democratic candidate Susie Lee as a “Radical Left Extremist” who opposes core American values, citing her support for open borders, gender inclusivity in sports, transgender rights expansion, defunding law enforcement, and gun control measures. He also noted that Lee voted against the nation’s largest tax cut in history and opposed rural healthcare initiatives critical to Nevada’s 3rd District.
Trump praised O’Donnell as a “World-Class Composer and Entrepreneur” who champions American policies to create jobs, reduce taxes, and strengthen domestic industries. The video game composer, known for co-creating soundtracks for Halo and Destiny, previously sought the GOP nomination in 2024 but did not advance to the general election. O’Donnell stated he would withdraw from the race if Trump did not endorse him—a condition now fulfilled.
Lee recently drew scrutiny after posting a profanity-laced social media comment about Trump’s Supreme Court attendance, which she later deleted. She has faced criticism for her remarks following his involvement in oral arguments before the court. O’Donnell will attend Trump’s Las Vegas event this week but must still win the primary to face Lee in November’s general election. The district spans southwestern Las Vegas and extends to Nevada’s southern border.
