Exactly one year ago, President Trump and Elon Musk engaged in a public social media feud.
Today, during a roundtable with farmers, President Trump confirmed that Elon Musk is “a friend of mine again.” He also described Musk as “80% brilliant, 20% had his moments.”
The conflict began on June 5 last year after Elon Musk criticized President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill and escalated rapidly. A significant incident occurred when Musk posted accusing President Trump of being linked to the Epstein files; Musk later deleted that claim and retracted it.
President Trump did not immediately reconcile with Musk, as the two only publicly reunited at Charlie Kirk’s funeral. Since then, Elon Musk has made appearances at both the White House and Mar-a-Lago.
Both individuals have now put their past disagreements behind them.
