Trump-Endorsed Clay Fuller Wins Georgia Special Election to Replace Marjorie Taylor Greene

Trump-endorsed Clay Fuller has secured victory in a special election for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, replacing former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. Fuller defeated Democratic candidate Shawn Harris with approximately 57 percent of the vote as nearly 92 percent of ballots were counted.

The seat became vacant when Greene resigned from Congress in January after a public disagreement with President Trump. Fuller, a local district attorney and Air National Guard lieutenant colonel who served in the U.S. Air Force since 2009, credited Trump’s influence in securing his win. “He was the difference maker,” Fuller stated following his victory. “Our results prove that President Trump means a ton to Georgia-14.”

Fuller emphasized that voters in the district—covering northwest Georgia from Atlanta’s suburbs to Tennessee’s Appalachian border—understood his platform and its alignment with Republican priorities. The 14th District has never been represented by a Democrat, despite Harris campaigning on issues including economic concerns and international tensions.

Harris acknowledged the outcome but expressed confidence in future electoral opportunities, stating: “We had a win tonight.” The district’s consistent Republican lean, bolstered by Trump’s endorsement and local mobilization, solidified Fuller’s victory as Republicans maintain their narrow majority in the House.
