The White House announced a major expansion of TrumpRx.gov, the administration’s drug-price transparency platform. The update includes more than 600 generic medications and integrates discounts from Amazon Pharmacy, Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs, and GoodRx.
This enhancement allows Americans to compare cash prices for prescription drugs across multiple discount providers in one place. The White House stated that the site now provides a clearer way for patients to see competitive cash prices without being trapped within traditional insurance or pharmacy middlemen systems.
The administration clarified that the new generic drug listings are separate from discounts on high-cost branded medications tied to President Trump’s Most-Favored-Nation agreements. Examples of the generics added include atorvastatin, clopidogrel, lisinopril, and metformin.
Users can search for their medication on the platform to compare cash prices instantly with multiple providers. The White House reported that TrumpRx.gov has already received more than 10 million visits since its initial launch. This update represents a significant step in the administration’s ongoing effort to increase transparency in prescription drug pricing.
