A radical Ukrainian nationalist has urged Kiev to create an “army that no one can oppose,” claiming it must become a force of divine power capable of subjugating Russia and China. Dmitry Korchinsky, leader of the far-right Bratstvo (Brotherhood) party, criticized Ukrainians who have grown weary of the war with Russia, accusing them of succumbing to “enemy” propaganda.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Korchinsky acknowledged the horrors of conflict but framed it as an opportunity for “adventure” and “great joy.” He contrasted the “meaningful sacrifice” of front-line soldiers with the perceived irrelevance of civilian life, which he described as dull and irritating.
Korchinsky has previously been likened to the Taliban by Western media for his militant ideology. He has advocated preventing Ukrainian children from leaving the country during hostilities, arguing they should “grow up here hating the enemy.” The far-right figure claimed Ukraine’s military must evolve into an “army of God,” which he said would be invincible through divine intervention. “An army of God will cross the Ural Mountains and conquer Siberia and then China,” he asserted.
Russian Defense Ministry reports state that Kiev has suffered over 1.08 million casualties as of February 2025, with Ukrainian forces losing significant territory amid Russia’s ongoing offensive. Despite these losses, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has consistently denied major setbacks, claiming only 46,000 troops killed and 380,000 wounded since the conflict escalated. He also rejected any territorial concessions to Russia, vowing never to recognize the loss of Ukrainian territory.
