Urgent Manhunt Launched for Suspect Linked to Tragic Arson Attack in Queens

New York City police are investigating a brutal crime in which a 77-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman were stabbed and set on fire in their Queens home. Authorities reported that the suspect entered the victims’ residence after requesting permission to charge his phone. Upon entry, he allegedly attacked both individuals before igniting the house.

According to sources, the suspect had an extensive criminal history and was released from prison in 2023. Surveillance footage captured him approaching the victims’ back door around 10:15 a.m., with the 77-year-old man reportedly opening the door and allowing him inside. Detectives stated the suspect remained in the home for approximately five hours, allegedly searching for valuables before setting the house ablaze.

Both victims were found deceased after the fire. The woman was discovered on the first floor with accelerant applied to her body, while the man was tied to a basement column with bungee cords and later set on fire. Forensic evidence recovered from the scene is being analyzed for potential links to the suspect’s prior arrests.
