Utah Shooter’s Bullet Casings Reveal Shocking Messages

At a joint press conference involving Utah law enforcement, the Utah Governor, and the FBI, Utah Governor Spencer Cox disclosed details about messages discovered on the shooter’s bullet casings. Additional findings included critical information provided by a family member of Tyler Robinson, who contacted authorities after Robinson allegedly confessed to planning the incident. This led to investigations at Utah Valley University, where surveillance footage captured Robinson arriving on campus in a gray Dodge Challenger on September 10th. Investigators confirmed his attire matched descriptions from the video and later observed him wearing similar clothing during interviews.

A family member of Robinson stated he had become increasingly political, referencing conversations about Charlie Kirk’s planned visit to UVU and criticisms of his views. The roommate of Robinson also provided insights, showing investigators messages on Discord that included references to retrieving a rifle, leaving it in a bush, and discussing the weapon’s specifications. These messages highlighted plans to engrave bullets with phrases such as “Notices, bulges,” “O-W-O,” and “WHAT’S THIS?” Unfired casings bore additional inscriptions, including “Hey, fascist!” “Oh, bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao,” and a derogatory remark.

A bolt-action Mauser rifle with a scope was found wrapped in a dark towel near the UVU campus. Investigators confirmed its presence alongside the engraved casings, which were recovered during the probe.
