A 19-year-old who was released on non-monetary bond after a severe stabbing in Pittsburgh is now the prime suspect in another near-fatal attack. Delvin Dobbins, arrested on September 23 for stabbing a man in the stomach with a bloodied knife, was freed without posting cash. Just eight days later, he stabbed a coworker at a bus station in East Liberty.
Witnesses reported that Dobbins engaged in a verbal argument with the victim before attacking him multiple times and fleeing the scene. The wounded man remains in serious but stable condition as of Friday.
Dobbins, who worked at Home Depot, was previously cashiered after threatening his victim over a female coworker. A criminal complaint described Dobbins as having threatened to “fold him like an armadillo.”
Meanwhile, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Decarlos Brown Jr., a career criminal with 14 prior arrests, murdered Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee, on August 22, 2025. Brown falsely claimed that Zarutska had called him a racial slur, but video evidence shows she did not.
Brown was ruled incompetent to stand trial for the state and federal charges against him.
