Melania Trump’s Secret Efforts to Reunite Ukrainian Children with Families Exposed

On Friday, Tucker Carlson conducted an interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s wife Cheryl Hines, during which she highlighted First Lady Melania Trump’s behind-the-scenes work aiding children and reuniting those displaced by war. Hines praised Trump for her quiet dedication, noting, “She does it quietly. She doesn’t need fanfare for it. But she really works hard.”

The interview touched on Melania Trump’s efforts to address the plight of Ukrainian children separated from their families during the conflict. Trump revealed she has maintained an “open channel of communication” with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the past three months, aiming to facilitate reunifications. She stated that U.S. and Russian officials have engaged in “backchannel meetings and calls, all in good faith,” focusing on the welfare of affected children.

Trump claimed eight Ukrainian children had been reunited with their families within 24 hours as part of this initiative. Three were displaced inside Russia due to front-line fighting, while five had been separated across borders since the war’s early stages. She provided documentation and photographs from Russian officials, including a “verification report” from Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada human rights commissioner and the Russian presidential commissioner for children’s rights. The U.S. government confirmed the details, she said.

“This is an important initiative,” Trump emphasized, outlining her dual mission to ensure transparency in child welfare efforts and maintain communication between displaced children and their families until reunification.

Hines described Melania Trump as a “caring First Lady” with unparalleled compassion for children, expressing pride in her role.
