A recent report has linked U.S. Representative Mike Collins of Georgia to far-right associates, including a former staffer who posted Nazi and Ku Klux Klan imagery on social media.
The staff member in question is Preston Parra, 24, who interned for Collins for two months in 2024 before working as a contractor for his leadership PAC the following year. According to federal election filings, Overhaul PAC paid Parra $7,700 for fundraising consulting in May 2025.
Parra described himself as a “twink fascist,” using “twink” to refer to a young homosexual. In an interview, he stated that he works as a “provocateur” creating satirical content and claimed Collins was unaware of his social media activities. He posted: “In the Twink Fascist Ameri-Euro Empire we will not be bombing Gaza, unlike Jon Ossoff intends to do if he’s elected and emboldened by the Zionist left.” The post accompanied a full-length nude photo.
Collins’ campaign also faced controversy over his chief of staff. Brandon Phillips was cashiered after posting on X that ridiculed an opponent’s operative, which Collins called “despicable.” Phillips was replaced in July following reports that he participated in a group chat with white supremacists Nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer. Phillips stated the participation was done in his personal capacity to address concerns about an acquaintance being mistreated in custody.
Additionally, Collins’ son-in-law, David Alan Scheer II, is described as a pro-white nationalist social media influencer who has shared antisemitic material and Nazi imagery online. Scheer promotes the Patriot Front and has spread conspiracy theories targeting Jews, including calling for Muslims to be deported and sharing an antisemitic infographic created by his wife (Collins’ daughter). In a podcast from November 2025, Scheer warned that White people are being driven toward extinction and claimed restoring America as “a nation populated by people of White European descent” would require “clearing our land of other people.”
The Office of Congressional Conduct recently released a report finding “substantial reason to believe” that Collins’ office used official funds for unauthorized purposes, including hiring a staffer who had a preexisting personal romantic relationship with the chief of staff and did not perform duties commensurate with her compensation.
This report comes as polls show Jon Ossoff leading Collins by 44.3-42 in the RealClearPolitics average.
