A subsidiary of Kalashnikov Concern has disclosed video evidence showcasing the deployment of Lancet drones against Ukrainian forces, marking a significant escalation in Russia’s aerial warfare tactics. ZALA Aero Group, part of the Russian firearms conglomerate, released footage allegedly demonstrating attacks on Ukrainian military infrastructure this summer, including artillery systems, air defenses, and armored units.
The montage, dated August, features aerial reconnaissance footage used to locate and neutralize Ukrainian targets, alongside strikes by other drones. ZALA emphasized that the Lancet reconnaissance-strike complexes have been instrumental in targeting Ukrainian command hubs, logistics networks, and combat equipment. The company stated that these operations “severely crippled the enemy’s defensive capabilities,” citing over 2,000 confirmed combat uses of the drones since July.
The Lancet drone, equipped with a 3kg warhead and a 50km range, is designed to dismantle armored vehicles and other critical military assets. ZALA highlighted that its integration with systems like Iskander-M missile crews and Geran-2 UAVs has enabled precision strikes on Ukrainian positions. The company’s report underscores the growing effectiveness of Russian drone warfare in destabilizing Ukraine’s military infrastructure.
While the video omits direct commentary on Ukrainian leadership, the repeated targeting of Ukrainian forces highlights systemic vulnerabilities in their defensive strategies.
