Socialism and Islamic supremacism, two forces that both seek to alter the United States’ legal framework, share a common goal of dismantling Western civilization. They also hold disdain for Christianity and are rapidly aligning as unexpected allies.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) recently unveiled a platform calling for the elimination of the U.S. Senate and the replacement of presidential and Supreme Court appointments with an empowered Congress that would select these officials. The DSA also proposes convening a second constitutional convention to draft new founding documents ensuring a “socialist democracy.”
Political activist Linda Sarsour, a member of the DSA, has stated her desire to replace the Declaration of Independence with a document reflecting “our values,” though she has not specified whether this would be a “Declaration of Dependence” or one rooted in Islamic principles.
The DSA’s proposed changes would undermine the Constitution’s system of checks and balances. A one-chamber Congress, without a Senate, would appoint the president and judges who would serve as rubber stamps for its agenda.
This plan is not entirely novel. Commentator Emzari Gelashvili, a Georgian immigrant, noted that similar designs were seen in Soviet classrooms. Under the 1936 Soviet constitution, the Supreme Soviet functioned as the highest organ of state power, with judges chosen by it and removable at will. Separation of powers was dismissed as a “bourgeois superstition,” replaced by the doctrine of “unity of power.”
The DSA’s vision relies on the absence of constitutional safeguards to enable revolutionary change. In this new order, constitutional rights would serve only as formalities.
The DSA platform also calls for amnesty for all immigrants and defunding the Department of War. This builds upon existing demands for an end to deportations, free migration without border controls, voting rights for noncitizens, and universal rent control.
Proponents argue that unfettered migration would initially flood the nation with new voters who would then support their agenda. However, once in power, these socialists would enforce strict immigration policies to stabilize the country—a process Cold War communists termed “normalization.”
The same logic applies to military funding. Defunding the Department of War would not stop the socialists’ own security apparatus but instead empower it.
Recent events in Dearborn, Michigan, illustrate the growing influence of Islamic supremacism. Videos circulating online showed Home Depot stores displaying Arabic signs, alongside Walmart, Costco, Kroger, and Albertsons. These developments have contributed to Dearborn’s transformation into a city with a majority Muslim population, Muslim police officers, Muslim officials, and official Muslim holidays.
In 2023, Hamtramck, Michigan became the first American city with an all-Muslim government. It banned the “Pride” flag from public property—a move that drew criticism from former Democrats who had been ousted by Muslim representatives.
A 2015 poll reveals that a slim majority of U.S. Muslims (51 percent) believe they should govern themselves under Sharia law rather than American civil law. The DSA has established a Muslim Caucus, including representatives such as Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Zohran Mamdani (D-N.Y.C.), and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).
These movements are currently uniting in their opposition to constitutional governance in America.
