Tragedy Strikes Evergreen High School as Shooting Leaves Three in Critical Condition

At least two students were among those injured after a shooting at Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado, on Wednesday afternoon, according to reports. Three individuals are in critical condition following the incident, with officials confirming that students were among the victims. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office stated that the school was placed on lockdown as law enforcement responded to the scene.

The first report of a shooting at the high school was received at approximately 12:24 p.m. local time, authorities said. A suspect was engaged and neutralized, though the campus remains under lockdown as investigators sweep the area. The victims are being transported to St. Anthony Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is also assisting at the scene, alongside Denver FBI personnel, who confirmed they are “aware of the situation” and have deployed resources to support local authorities.
