President Trump recently addressed concerns about U.S. immigration enforcement, stating that the primary obstacle has been a lack of sufficient agents due to “rogue activist judges.” Tom Homan revealed plans to add 10,000 new agents by mid-January, aiming to target the 10.5 million undocumented individuals who crossed the border, in addition to the 15 million already present. Homan emphasized that Border Patrol is now supporting ICE operations domestically, leading to record removals and arrests. He claimed the current fiscal year has seen a historic number of deportations, with expectations to “blow this historic number out of the water next year.” The efforts are attributed to acting Director Todd Lyons and Secretary Noem, with Homan asserting that agents are fulfilling Trump’s promise to “make this country safe again.”
