President Trump voiced his thoughts on Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt before boarding Air Force One on Wednesday afternoon. During remarks to a Daily Wire reporter, the former president stated he would like to see Pratt “do well” in his campaign.
Trump also criticized California’s electoral system, calling it “rigged.” He added that if Jesus Christ were to count the votes, he would have won the state.
The comments follow recent reports of Trump’s potential endorsement for Pratt, who has gained traction among Republicans and others in the race against Democratic incumbent Karen Bass. Socialist-linked Los Angeles councilmember Nithya Raman previously indicated on social media that “Donald Trump is about to endorse Spencer.”
While Trump did not explicitly endorse Pratt during his Wednesday remarks, he emphasized the perceived dishonesty of California’s election process.
Pratt has seen a notable rise in poll numbers, attributed to his campaign’s strong social media strategy and recent viral activity, including a remix of the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song.
